General English

Schedule

4 days per week, 2 hours per day
Morning, afternoon and evening times available.
Session 5 weeks long (8 sessions per year)

Placement test are administered to prospective students to determine their level of English proficiency.
Transcripts of grades are provided to trainees at the end of each course.
Certificate of Completion is provided upon request after the successful completion of any course.

General English Levels

Our General English program consists of seven major levels ranging from Starter to Advanced.
Courses are highly-interactive and are based on a combination of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
Each course is approximately 44 hours.\

1- Starter
2- 100A / 100B (Elementary)
3- 101 / 102 / 103 (Lower-Intermediate)
4- 201 / 202 / 203 (Intermediate)
5- 301 / 302 / 401 (Upper-Advanced)
6- 402 / 501 / 502 (Pre-Advanced)
7- Advanced

Students taking these courses may also prepare for the University of Michigan Examination for the Certificate of:
*Competency in English (ECCE)
*Proficiency in English   (ECPE)

Just Speaking Courses

Conversation courses offered from elementary to advanced levels.
They are a great opportunity for students to focus on their speaking skills. Approximately 15 hours each.

TOEFL (Test English as a Foreign Language)
SAT I (Scholastic Aptitude Test I)
GRE (Graduate Record Examination)
GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test)
EEE (English Entrance Exam)

International Certification

TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication)
University of Michigan, USA.;
ECCE (Examination for the Certificate of Competency in English)
ECPE (Examination for the Certificate of Proficiency in English)

Business English

Business English courses provide students with the professional communication and language skills necessary for a wide range of business situations. All levels include business skills such as telephoning, negotiating, presenting and the language of meetings. Business correspondence and report writing are also components of the courses. The topics cover important business issues of our time.

English for Special Purposes

English for Law

A short introductory course for practicing lawyers who wish to enhance their English skills for legal correspondence and drafting contracts

English for Banking

An introductory course covering telephoning techniques, written correspondence and day-to-day interaction in a banking environment.

Other Languages

Arabic, French, German, Italian and Spanish




AUC is a HIGHER TECHNICAL INSTITUTE (Presidential decree 11757, 5645 and 895) offers in addition to the BT, TS and CST degrees.
